What You Should Consider First
Pack tight or leave some room?
If getting to your things in storage is important, consider a larger unit so you can move around easily inside the unit. Adding shelves to your storage unit may also help. If you do not need access, a smaller unit, packed tight and high, will work.
How much are you storing?
Often people forget to include some items, like items in your closets or attic. Having a good sense of all the things you are storing will help you get the right size.
Size of your items?
Oversized furniture may need a larger unit. Unusually small furniture may fit into a smaller one. If you have one very large item, measure the height, length and width. Be sure it will fit into the unit you choose.
