Yes, we offer affordable boxes in all different sizes as well as other moving materials such as packing tape, bubble wrap, wardrobe boxes, mattress covers, wrapping paper and more.
Yes, we do require insurance which we provide convenient plans starting at just $10 that can be paid with your rent. You can also use your homeowner’s insurance and would need to contact your company and provide us with a proof of insurance.
Coverage begins when you complete and sign the Enrollment Form and pay the first month’s premium. Coverage ends when your rental agreement terminates or on the date specified in any notice you may receive for failure to pay your monthly premium.
The security options vary based on the location you are using. All of our locations have security cameras and most have gates with keypads to gain access. We also offer individually-alarmed units at most of our locations. Please check your locations page to see what security options are offered there.
All of our properties get monthly preventative pest control services by certified exterminators.

You can access your unit anytime during office and access hours which differ based on location. Be sure to review the “Office Hours” and “Tenant Access Hours” on your location page.
We have gates at most of our locations for added security. In order to gain access, you need to enter your unique code which is given upon rental.
Our climate controlled units are kept under 80 degrees in summer and above 50 degrees in the winter. Items like electronics, antiques, paintings, medicines and more do best in climate controlled units.
These are great for unloading your car or truck directly into your storage unit. At some storage locations, you can store vehicles in these rooms – like cars, small trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, and smaller boats. Our Woodbridge, NJ and Bernardsville, NJ storage locations offer drive-up rooms that are also climate controlled.
Storage lockers are perfect for a few small items. The floor area may be as large as a 5’ x 5’ unit, but the height is typically 4’. For extreme savings, our Norwood, NJ and Woodbridge, NJ locations have lockers on top of 8’ high storage units that can be reached by a rolling staircase.
Renting a unit requires all paperwork be filled out as well as leases signed and unit paid for. This allows you to occupy the unit right away. Reserving a unit requests Access to hold a specific unit for a certain length of time not exceeding 10 days.
Yes, Access provides moving carts and dollies for when you move in to your storage unit and on your move-out date.
Our leases are month-to-month to allow our tenants the flexibility to come and go as needed.
We do not provide moving help in terms of movers but we do offer a free moving truck at most of our locations. Please see the “All Benefits” tab on the location page you wish to Rent or Reserve from.
Each year the rent may increase or stay the same due to pricing in the area. Access does offer the guarantee that your initial rent rate will not change for a full year. Many other self-storage companies will raise your rental rate soon after you move in, every 3 to 4 months or so.
Yes, we offer a pay online through our website as well as autopay which would take money directly from an account each that you can setup by clicking on My Account/Pay Online. Please ask your location manager and/or specialist with any questions.
Yes, we do take credit card payments over the phone for your convenience.
Yes, all of our locations have office and access hours on the weekends. Please check your location’s page for the specific hours as they differ per location.
Yes, we do offer this feature to our tenants to update your account information as needed.
We ask that you send us written notice, 30 days in advance of your move out. Once you have done this, please visit your location on your scheduled move out date, make sure your unit is completely empty, your lock is removed or returned to us and a store manager or specialist has inspected the unit. We will also ask you to sign a move out receipt.
We ask that you give us 30 days written notice prior to vacating your unit.
If you have double checked that you selected the correct location page for logging in, please try the following:
  • Most common mistake – using access code instead of primary phone #.
  • Second most common, using 10 digit phone number rather than 7 digit phone number.
  • Third – use your unit # as it appears on invoice.
If you should lose your access code, not to worry, your location manager and/or specialist can help you with this in the office with your ID.
